The biggest question on everyone’s mind had been: How many GCCs are there in India ? If you ignore investment by the company, it could exceed 2900. Generally, we agree on 1600 number. Though, no one has been able to find all of those yet (!!)
Last year has been good for the vendors selling to GCCs. Setup of GCCs are being covered in the newspaper. Pandemic and acceptance of remote work has accelerated investment in GCCs.
New Kid in the block is the company – Pure Storage. Ajeya Motaganahalli (link), Managing Director clearly has indicated his plans to bring 100s of talented folks there.
There are two categories of vendors in India. 1. That are tired of targeting GCCs but no luck. 2. GCCs are the main revenue source.
Difference is in the efforts invested to build relationships.
1. Build relationship with Himanshu Kapila (Link). It is his work anniversary at Medtronics in the month of Feb, 2022. One of the busiest companies in pandemic.
2. Healthcare companies are rocking. You could also grow by building relationship with Cerner Corporation. Wish Khushnooma

1. Spread in APAC, India, Eastern Europe:
There are companies who are spread well in APAC countries and India. These GCCs will come to India for talent and not to save cost. These GCCs are trained to know how the outsourcing, Center of excellences work.
2. Starting with One Country: Another type is the one that is limited to ONE country (India or Philippines). They are still figuring out
culture fitment.
