While a good man may be hard to find, "this" Goodman makes it easy to find comfort with its residential and light commercial HVAC products. Goodman Global makes heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment, including split-system air conditioners and heat pumps, gas furnaces, packaged units, air handlers, and evaporator coils. The company operates about eight plants in Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas. It sells products under the Goodman, Amana, and Quietflex brands through about 160 company-operated distribution centers and some 700 independent distributor locations throughout North America. Hellman & Friedman, which took Goodman private in 2008, plans to sell the company.
