A subsidiary of Convergent Resources (CRI), one of the largest collections companies in the US, Convergent Outsourcing (formerly ER Solutions) provides receivables collections services to creditors in the retail, telecommunications, utilities, and financial services industries. Utilizing a mixture of state-of-the-art technology and old-fashioned diplomacy, the company tracks down delinquent customers and encourages voluntary repayment of debt. It also provides customer service both for outbound communications (contacting customers to remind them of their debt and payment options), and inbound customer relations. In addition to its headquarters in Renton, Washington, Convergent Outsourcing operates facilities  Atlanta; Houston; Montgomery, Alabama; and Phoenix. The company was founded in 1950 and was acquired by CRI in 1999.
